DragonFlite 95 Sails in Green WS

Price: $140.00

Green WS DF95 Sails
for the Dragon Flite

These DF95 sails are made out of a Racing Dacron and not the typical Mylar other DF95 sails are. This is because the printing that takes place does not stick very well to Mylar, so an alternative cloth must be used. However, this Dacron used is a very light and flexible material that provides superb bias strength and recovery. With this new cloth and improved ink technology the printing on the sails and colors are much brighter.

These DF95 sails are going to be very limited and exclusive in supply. As you order, many of the designs will automatically turn off on the site indicating you have ordered the last one currently available. We only have enough cloth to make a very few of these sails, and once that is gone it's gone as the mfg. has discontinued this cloth. We have had a large demand for some colorful printed sails as many of the sailors have been complaining they have a hard time seeing their boat in a crowd, since all the existing sails look the same. A lot of time and work has gone into designing these sails which will only be available until either a new cloth supply is found, or the existing cloth runs out.

Windjammin Sails Dragon Flite Sails Include

Actual big boat CAD fiber layout printed on one side of sail which resembles big boat membrane technology.
This print application is not cheap. The process requires a very specialized 1/2 Million Dollar printer which uses a very special ink. The company which own's this very special printer, charges $95 an hour plus materials. However, WJ Sails has a friend who is an owner and thanks to them, it is possible to offer a very special and unique product well below normal printing cost for this type of application. **Sails are only printed on 1 side "the starboard side" however, their image shows thru to the back side enough to see the design.

Reinforced corners which distribute the stretch and load better yielding a smoother longer lasting sail

Battens which help hold the leech and keeps the sail area outside the pull line supported

Tell Tales, 2 pair on the jib, 1 pair on the main and 2 on main leech
Telltales can help greatly in the set-up and tuning of your boat, not to mention can really help with on the water wind direction too.

DF95 Class Symbol and your sail numbers are included on the main.
As indicated by the class rules. Jib Numbers are included too.

NOTE: Trying to remove the sail numbers on these printed sails will most likely pull the ink off the sail. Thus, once the numbers are applied, these sails are no longer returnable. If you are unsure of your sail number, or if you would like to see the sails and have the option of returning them (less shipping) please select sail numbers sent loose which means you will apply them once you decide you definitely want to keep them.

**DISCLAIMER**
Due to the very slippery resins used to bond and make sailcloth airtight, sailcloth is very chemical resistant and virtually chemically inert, and graphics or 'paint' is almost impossible to permanently adhere to it. Thus, because of the nature of the abuse a sail gets (flogging in the wind, spattered by water, cloth shifting and stretching) the printed graphics will ultimately start to show signs of flaking off and cracking, etc. over time. While the sail itself will still be good, the printed graphics will show wear and need to be touched up with a Sharpe Marker over time. If you replace your sails every few years, printed sails really are so cool on the water and can greatly enhance your boats appearance in a bunch. But if you plan on keeping sails for a long time, white sails will look good for many more years to come.
